I showed this palette in a haul recently, and since then I've been obsessed with it as you may noticed if you saw The Summer Makeup Edit For Oily Skin. Because this item has been one of my favorite discoveries so far, I decided to make a review for you to see how good it is and why you need it in your makeup collection!
Eu mostrei esta paleta num haul bastante recente, e desde ai que tenho andado obcecada com ela como já deves ter reparado se viste esta publicação. Devido a este produto estar a ser uma das minhas descobertas favoritas até ao momento, decidi fazer uma review para veres o quão boa esta paleta é e porque é que precisas dela na tua coleção de maquilhagem!
As you might know if you are a beauty junkie, this is a palette (or a Glow Kit as everyone calls it) that contains four different highlighters with 7.4g each, which means that the pan size it's huge and you will have highlighter for the rest of your life, and it costs 44€. These highlighters (and the rest of the makeup line of Anastasia Beverly Hills) are cruelty free, which is great and I truly appreciate brands that don't test on animals.
Como já deves saber se fores uma beauty junkie, esta paleta (ou Glow Kit como toda a gente lhes chama) contém quatro iluminadores diferentes com 7.4 gramas cada, o que quer dizer que o tamanho deles é grande e vais ter iluminador para o resto da vida, e custa 44€. Estes iluminadores (e o resto da linha de maquilhagem da Anastasia Beverly Hills) são cruelty free, ou seja, não são testados em animais, o que é excelente e eu realmente adoro quando as marcas não testam em animais.
As you can see, Sweets is very different from the usual everyday highlighters. This Glow Kit is so fun, but so wearable. I'm not a person that likes green or blue highlighter, I always tend to reach for safe colors, and I know that Sweets doesn't seem to be a safe choice, but it is. Although these highlighters seem to be not very wearable, when applied to your cheekbone the color transforms completely, it blends into the skin and turns into a nice highlighter with a bit of color. The formula is very creamy, seems a lot like a cream product but it's a powder. It's also so pigmented, but you can control the intensity you want. Oh, and these are shimmery. Not just a bit of shine, NO. Shimmery, but as I said you can control that, you just need to put the tinniest bit to your brush and apply to your cheekbone and blend blend blend. That way it's not that BAM highlighter in your face. Sometimes I feel like I want more highlighter on my face, and on those days I have no mercy with the amount that I put on my brush. The last thing that I have to say about this palette is that every single highlighter on it lasts 8 hours on my cheekbones. It's crazy! I always take my makeup off after 8 hours and if I'm wearing one of these highlighters it's still intact!
Como podes ver, Sweets é bastante diferente dos iluminadores que utilizamos no dia a dia. Este Glow Kit é tão divertido, mas é tão usável. Eu não gosto de utilizar iluminadores azuis ou verdes, costumo sempre manter-me na zona das cores seguras, e eu sei que o Sweets não parece a ser uma escolha segura, mas é. Embora estes iluminadores não pareçam ser usáveis, quando os aplicas no teu osso da bochecha a cor transforma completamente, "mistura-se" com a pele e torna-se num iluminador bonito com um pouco de cor. A fórmula é muito cremosa, parece a ser um produto cremoso mas é em pó. Também são bastante pigmentados, mas podes controlar a intensidade que pretendes. Ah, e eles têm muito brilho. Não é aquele brilhozinho miudinho, NÃO. Muito brilho, mas como eu já disse podes controlar isso, só precisas de pôr um bocadinho de nada no teu pincel e aplicar no teu osso da bochecha e esfumar esfumar esfumar. Assim não é tão BUM iluminador na tua cara. Às vezes apetece-me ter mais iluminador do que o costume no meu rosto, e nesses dias eu não tenho dó nem piedade com a quantidade que ponho no pincel. A última coisa que tenho a dizer desta paleta é que cada um destes iluminadores dura 8 horas no meu osso da bochecha. É incrível! Eu costumo remover a minha maquilhagem após 8 horas de uso, e se eu estiver a utilizar um destes iluminadores ele ainda está intacto!
Marshmallow - Seems like a traditional pearly shade, but when the light hits it it's a pearly shade with gold reflects.
Marshmallow - Parece a tradicional cor perolada, mas quando a luz o atinge é uma cor perolada com reflexos dourados.
Sassy Grape - The most "out of my comfort zone" shade in this palette. It's a pinky purple shade. This is the most "hard" to wear shade in the palette because it's more pigmented, when the light hits it it turns into a pinky purple with icy reflects (an awesome shade for darker skin tones).
Sassy Grape - A cor mais "fora da minha zona de conforto" que existe nesta paleta. É um iluminador rosa arroxeado. Esta é a cor mais "difícil" de utilizar na paleta porque é mais pigmentada, quando a luz o atinge torna-se num rosa arroxeado com reflexos perolados (espetacular para peles mais escuras).
Butterscotch - A champagne shade, when the light hits it you can see the pretty gold reflects that it has.
Butterscotch - Uma cor champagne, quando a luz o atinge consegues ver o lindíssimo reflexo dourado que este iluminador tem.
Taffy - Last but not least, we have this pretty shade that I can say it's like a rose gold, or a coppery shade with gold reflects when the light hits it. I really love this shade!
Taffy - E por fim mas não menos importante, temos esta cor lindinha que eu posso dizer que é tipo um rosa dourado, ou uma cor acobreada com reflexos dourados quando a luz o atinge. Gosto mesmo muito desta cor!
And I couldn't end this post without showing you the swatches, so here they are! This photo was taken outside without the sun hitting the highlighters. You can see that they look like a shimmery eyeshadow (not interesting at all, do you agree?), but wait for it...
E eu não podia terminar esta publicação sem te mostrar os swatches, aqui estão eles! Esta foto foi tirada na rua à sombra, sem o sol a atingir os iluminadores. Como podes ver eles parecem uma sombra brilhante (nada interessante, não achas?), mas espera só...
And what about now? Aren't they so gorgeous?! You can see now that the sun is hitting the highlighters they all have gold reflects besides the pinky purple one that has icy reflects (as I said above). They are really stunning, I'm loving this palette and I can't have enough of it!
E agora? Não são tão lindos?! Agora que o sol está a atingir os iluminadores consegues ver que todos eles tem reflexos dourados menos o rosa arroxeado que tem reflexos perolados (como eu disse acima). Eles são todos deslumbrantes, e eu estou a adorar esta paleta e não consigo parar de a utlizar!
